Our Engineer with Clear Connection is currently working on a Marina opportunity. Their most significant issue is people sharing codes to access the gates, and their current cameras system isn’t the best.
Below are images of the site survey, and I provided notes with best practices.

Picture #1 is their current lock to enter the Marina shop. The biggest security concern is everyone, including their friends, knows the password.
Our solution is to install a card reader and door electric strike to provide access control.

Picture 3 (DVR) and Picture (4) Camera view is their current setup. This setup we refer to as the “the Costco Solution.” It’s a lesser quality solution that doesn’t meet the needs.
We are proposing a commercial-grade product that will last 5-7 years. Our design will use 4 MP and NVR (Network Video Recorder) with 30 days of storage.

At their gate, they have a reader, but they do have a Point to Point Wi-Fi Access Point. So there’s some infrastructure here for us.
Here’s the Winning Formula
- Eliminate all keys and use Access Control – Access Control (Using Bluetooth Readers) you can gain access using key fobs and cell phone (there is a mobile app)
- Point to Point Wi-Fi Access Point – Internet is a must. We will visit the site and determine how we will bring the internet and power to the gate.
- Audit Trail – Our solution comes with audit technology, just in case you need to refer back to a date & time
- Install commercial-grade quality IP Exterior and Interior Cameras
How to Get Started – Contact me to schedule your in-person site survey. During the site survey, we will take pictures, then create your Statement of Work.
