Below is a recently completed Security Cameras installation for a Non-Profit Security Grant Winner. Our work scope consisted of cabling, data network configuration, and installing exterior and interior IP Cameras.

Pictures 1 and 2, we installed (1) exterior four megapixel IP Cameras with IP door video intercom. We prefer this set up because the IP door video intercom captures the face of the person who enters the door. If we installed only the IP Camera above, we would catch the person’s top head and parts of the parking lot.

The parameters of the Church we installed (4) Exterior IP Cameras on Pendant wall mount. One of the best practices is never to install dome cameras on walls. Water penetrates the cameras, which fogs the images and better-looking presentation. We prefer using dome cameras because it doesn’t broadcast where your capturing. Bullet cameras are lovely in a different application.

In this application, we need to apply bullet cameras. The bullet cameras will capture more areas (higher IR Range), mounts better on the metal column, and we do not mind broadcasting where we are recording. Important to note, any historic buildings FEMA frowns upon mounting equipment on the exterior structure.

The installation of the roof cameras was the trickiest. Again, FEMA would not allow us to install exterior cameras on the roof. The best solution is to install IP Dome Cameras using a parapet camera mount. The reason behind the logic is there is no drilling on the top (prevents water leakage). Our customer loves it!

Stay tuned for my photos for access control and intrusion system. If you have any projects for us to bid on, contact me directly. We would love to submit a competitive bid.

All the best,
